Mapei are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chemical products for the building industry. Amongst their vast range of products, they supply a number of tile adhesives and grout products which H&E Smith are happy to recommend.
Testing Our Products
To ensure H&E Smith can make the best recommendation to our clients, we asked Mapei to test their adhesives and grouts on our Eco-Glazed Brick Slips. They performed a 7-day test and a 28-day test in controlled conditions where the tensile adhesion strength of each bond was measured using a manual dynamometer. Following successful testing, we can now recommend the products shown below.

Ultracolor Plus Grout is a high-performance, anti-efflorescence, quick-setting and drying polymer-modified mortar free from Portland cement with water-repellent DropEffect® and mould-resistant BioBlock® technology for grouting joints up to 20 mm wide, with very low emission of volatile organic compounds and offset Greenhouse Gas Emissions.
