Rockton Devon
When Russell Jarvis embarked on a major 3-year renovation of the stunning Devonshire cliff-top house known as Rockton, he wanted to incorporate subtle tributes to the places he had travelled and lived in once it became a home.
Rockton is a breathtakingly beautiful and secluded house with the most amazing sea views. Adjacent to Rockton is Rockton Mews, a self-contained holiday let. You can find many images of both the main house and the mews on Instagram at @rocktondevon and @rocktonmews.
We were thrilled to receive these images from Russell, showing how he installed Eco-Glazed Brick Slips in Victorian Green as a backdrop to the wood-burning stove.
Having once lived in London and frequently using the District Line, Russell wanted to incorporate a tile that paid homage to that period in his life.
He discovered H&E Smith while searching for a tile with an underground style and shade and was drawn to our website.
Although he chose the Eco-Glazed Brick Slip, he was eager to find a UK-based manufacturer with a strong heritage focus as part of their brand, and of course, the Victorian Green shade chosen is a wonderful representation of the District Line.
